Open source

The ATS you run yourself.

The open-source edition is the complete recruiting workflow: ATS, CRM, database search, sourcing projects, outreach sequences, interviews, advanced offers, reporting, and provider adapters on your servers and Postgres. Use your own services, or add Source Connect to Source ATS without moving the database.

Inside Source ATS

The complete recruiting workflow, not a stripped-down demo

Your team gets the same core interface for pipelines, candidate records, interview plans, scorecards, and careers pages. You run the infrastructure and choose the providers behind it.

Every candidate in one list, with live stage counts and how long each has been waiting.

Managed AI, Source ATS network access, enrichment credits, and managed message delivery are separate Source Connect or Source Cloud services.

The interface

Every part of the hiring loop has a working home

These are core Source ATS workflows, not hosted-only add-ons. The open-source edition uses the same screens and data model on infrastructure you control.

One candidate record

Resume, applications, notes, interviews, scorecards, emails, and offers stay together.

Interview scheduling

Give candidates times to choose from and keep the interview plan attached.

Your careers page

Publish open roles and accept applications through your own branded job board.

Structured scorecards

Role-specific kits keep feedback consistent and private until submission.

Offers and approvals

Prepare, approve, send, and sign an offer without leaving the candidate record.

Outreach sequences

Schedule coordinated steps with quiet hours, caps, and automatic reply stopping.

Hiring analytics

Read funnel conversion, source quality, and time in stage from your own database.

Signed webhooks

Send ordered recruiting events to the tools your team already operates.

Provider-ready email

Connect SMTP, keep messages on the candidate record, and retain your communication history.

Community edition

What the open-source version includes

The recruiting product is in the repository. Managed infrastructure, usage credits, and the shared talent network are separate services.

Hiring

ATS and recruiting CRM

Candidate records, applications, custom pipelines, stage history, notes, tasks, and referrals.

Hiring

Careers, interviews, and offers

Hosted job pages, application forms, scheduling, kits, scorecards, approvals, letters, and signing.

Sourcing

Projects, shortlists, and sequences

Sourcing projects plus scheduled outreach with quiet hours, daily caps, and reply stopping.

Data

Search, reports, API, and exports

Workspace search, rediscovery, funnel and velocity reports, signed webhooks, and complete data export.

Resumes

Resume text extraction and OCR

Reads common resume formats and scanned files locally with open-source libraries.

Providers

AI and resume field parsing adapters

The integration is included; connect your own OpenAI-compatible model endpoint and pay that provider directly.

Providers

Email and messaging adapters

The sending workflow is included; bring SMTP and your own SMS or WhatsApp gateway.

Operations

Managed hosting, backups, and upgrades

Community installations run on your infrastructure, so your team operates and monitors them.

Managed services

AI, enrichment, and delivery managed by Source ATS

Available through Source Connect or included with eligible Source Cloud plans.

Network

Search across the opted-in Source ATS talent network

The shared network is not replicated into a self-hosted database; access it through Source Connect or Cloud.

Support

Managed migration and priority support

Community documentation is included; hands-on implementation and support are paid services.

Add Source Connect

Stay self-hosted when you want managed services

Connect managed AI, enrichment, communications, and opted-in talent search to the Source ATS installation you already run. Your Postgres database stays on your infrastructure.

One scoped connection

Give AI, data, communications, and talent network access separate permissions. Revoke the key whenever you want.

$199 per workspace / month

Add operations, not another system of record.

  • Two active recruiters included
  • Managed AI, enrichment, and delivery allowances
  • Hiring managers and interviewers are free
  • Your self-hosted ATS keeps working if disconnected

Run it

One command to start

Postgres is the only hard dependency. Set an SMTP server to send real email; without one, emails are logged instead.

Docker Compose

Starts the app and a Postgres database together. Set your ownAUTH_SECRETbefore you put it anywhere real.

Terminal

# the whole thing, on your machine
git clone https://github.com/adamperlis/source-ats
cd source-ats
docker compose up
# → http://localhost:3000/signup
